Christmas Boxes!

On Christmas Eve we went to the post office in town to check and see if any packages had arrived for us, but left without a thing. The workers seemed pretty behind, and our packages were likely there somewhere, but we'd have to return later to check again. We were bummed, but our boxes were there the day after Christmas, so not to late. It was so much fun to open them! One was from my parents. No photos from that one because we were facetiming, but it was full of Christmas goodness and things we can't find here. Thanks, Mom and Dad! We loved it all!

The other was from Kenny's aunts, Jean and Mary. It was full of very thoughtful things, of which Annaliese's favorite was the plastic wrapping the tights. My favorite thing was a sweet homemade ornament for Annaliese's first Christmas. But truly, everything was wonderful and useful. THANK YOU!

Annaliese became obsessed with paper and ribbons just in time for Christmas. :)  My Grandma and Grandpa Groves had sent some gifts with my mom when she visited in October, and I'm so glad they did because Annaliese loved the Christmas paper. A week or so later we received another package that was from my grandparents. The sweetest thing was that she had sent everything we would need to make a wonderful Christmas dinner to share...including her incredible homemade noodles! It tasted so much like home. Thank you!

A couple weeks later we received one from Aunt Sarah too! It was lots of fun, Annaliese loved chasing her hat-tail. Thanks so much!

We also got several Christmas cards and letters from friends and family. Thanks to everyone! The holidays are a difficult time to be away from home and each thing we received was so exciting and special. It helped to make the season bright! We felt so loved and we're so grateful!
