Aunt Sarah's Visit - November

We were so so blessed by a visit from Kenny's sister in the fall! She had work in Spain and could hardly be so near without stopping by to squeeze Annaliese for a little while. Here are just a few photos from her visit...

Annaliese could barely stand the wait at the airport. 

Thessaloniki, Greece is the nearest/easiest airport. We spent the night and toured around a bit the next day. My favorite part of this city is the clash of ancient and modern you find as you walk the streets and encounter ruins. It's an interesting place and it was really fun with Sarah. 

At home in Albania, doing the ordinary, was just as great though. :)

We also got to take Sarah to Macedonia for a day trip to the charming old lake town of Ohrid.

Her excitement was refreshing and it reminded us of what an adventure this living in another culture, so near to many other cultures, can be. It was incredible for our worlds to collide and for Annaliese and Sarah to spend some sweet time together. Sarah's visit was entirely too short, only four days, but it's likely that work will bring her to Europe more! We can't wait for the next visit!
