Baby Update: Week 37

Due date: July 22, 2013

Baby size: 6.8 pound, 19.75 in leek. .... But the doctor said our baby is probably smaller, maybe 5.5 pounds at the last visit and expecting about 6.5 at birth.

Total weight gain: about 32 pounds

Maternity clothes: It seems like my shoes don't fit anymore. Hoping its just the swelling and not an extra half inch from stretching ligaments. Hardly ever wearing anything non-maternity right now.

Sleep: I don't know if it's sharing the bed with Kenny again or just because I'm very pregnant and getting really uncomfortable, but I have been sleeping terribly.

Movement: Last Sunday I was worried because she wasn't moving much at all, so I laid down and did some kick counting, she got her 10 movements in 40 minutes, so all was ok. She must have just had a sleepy day, because she's been back at it, moving lots.

Food cravings: Loving applesauce and Colby jack cheese, blueberry bagels, and chocolate chip cookies

Symptoms: swelling fingers and toes, heartburn when I lie down, lower back and abdominal cramping, strange line has appeared down my legs to my ankles (seems pregnancy related, but idk)

Gender: still expecting a girl.

Name: no hints this week, sorry

Labor Signs: Maybe its more info than you care to read, but I think I lost part of the mucus plug. It doesn't really tell how far from labor we are, but it's something that happens before labor happens...woohoo!

Goals for the Week: get prepared! We still need to install the carseat, pack for the hospital, buy some newborn and post partum supplies, and I don't know what else...enjoy the last few weeks of just me and Kenny, for sure.

Things I am am doing well: Trying to rest up.

Things Kenny is doing well: Kenny came home before the baby came, that was all I needed this week! But he's also spoiling me again, retrieving things when I am laying down, heating up my rice pack...good husband things.

Feeling toward pregnancy: I've only just begun to feel the twinges of miserably uncomfortable and hoping for the end to come soon. On the other hand, I don't feel ready and freak out a little at the idea of only three more weeks! Overall, feeling better now that Kenny has arrived...relieved.

What I miss: flexibility and balance...dressing has become a little more difficult

What I am looking forward to: Finishing up that to-do list and feeling prepared, at least materially. Swaddling the baby. Getting her a cute take home outfit. Just holding her in our arms.

Struggles, worries, fears to surrender: Fear of the pain.

Milestones: Officially reached full-term!
