Due date: July 22, 2013... only ONE more week?!
Baby size: doc changed his tune at the last visit and guessed that she'll be a seven pounder
Total weight gain: about 35 pounds
Maternity clothes: yep...
Sleep: uncomfortable. Naps everyday.
Movement: It's slowed down a lot. Rarely any kicks, mostly shifts.
Food cravings: appetite is smaller. Enjoying the sweets now that were not appealing most of the pregnancy.
Symptoms: swelling in my hands, legs, ankles, feet, only mild heartburn, pelvic pressure, I use the bathroom 20 times a day, a lot of abdominal and lower back cramping
Gender: It better be a girl...everything's washed and ready for a girl.
Name: Her name begins with the letter A.
Labor Signs: maybe felt something like a contraction a few times...still sort of freaked out that I don't know what I'm watching and waiting for.
Goals for the Week: rest and relaxation as much as possible mixed in with lots of walking to get things moving
Feeling toward pregnancy: Excited...full-on nesting happened this week and I feel we're as ready as we can be. Otherwise, getting pretty uncomfortable, but not as miserable as I imagine I will be. So freaked out that this baby could come at any time now!
What I miss: my ankles...not a fan of the swelling that really set in this past week.
What I am looking forward to: rocking our baby girl
Struggles, worries, fears to surrender: Expectations. I have an idea of how this will go, a birth plan. But I know that in the end, the only thing that matters is the safe delivery of our daughter. I don't want to miss any of the joy distracted by the disappointment of missed expectations.
Milestones: My hospital bag is finally packed and ready and the carseat is installed!
