So...here are just a few chunks of what's happening in my life. It's very full, just like everyone else's, but I'm learning to manage my time better and am being blessed by the things that are filling my moments.
So far for the semester it's been a lot of hanging out - quality hanging out. I'm making lots of new friends and loving the ones that I already had here even more. Hopefully, I'll get to visit the friends at IWU sometime before long. Other large pieces of time have been spent working and going to class. Althought they're accompanied by early alarms everyday and tons of reading, it's nice to have those pieces of my schedule that are certain.
Scheduled chunks of randomness (fantastic idea from Laura) are my favorite though. Often (as if the two weeks I've lived here might merit the use of that word) just chilling in my awesome room with my awesome roommate has turned out to be the best time to be had. We're getting along great, I think. Maybe you should ask Lyndsey. I'm probably a harder person to live with than her.
Other stuff...Campus House has been amazing already. Bash week went well and now things are settling down into normalcy, and it's an extradordinary normalcy. I love Campus House, and I'm seeing love between the people there more. This year I'm pretty involved, meaning I have responsibilities. I've been involved since coming here, but now I'm getting to lead and plan some activities and serve more. I'm the Missions Team leader, and am thrilled about it. I'm really excited about playing a part in introducing more about missions to the CCH-ers.
Other happenings...stuff at church. I'm the song leader for the next year and am hoping to do some new things. GASP! I know...craaazy. Our Sunday School class is getting a Romans study underway, excited about diving into that. More exciting stuff... a possible Beth Moore study with women at church, it'd be great - it's in the works. And even more...I'm considering participating in my church as a youth leader. Who knows.
Ok. Enough for now.
Hasta.
