Six Things On Monday

1. On Tuesday we received a pretty incredible package from a really sweet and exceptional 13- year-old that we know. This week we found out that on top of her many other talents, she sews! She made our little baby a taggie blanket, a burp cloth, a little plush toy, a headband (in case it's a girl) and she printed some adorable Alphabet flash cards. It's the cutest stuff and such a BIG blessing! Our little one's first stuff!

2. I didn't even know until way late that Thursday was a holiday, and I don't mean Pi Day. Kenny didn't even realize that it was Pi Day...maybe math isn't as important to him as it once was? I know, impossible. March 14 is Albania's Diten e Veres, or Day of Summer. It's about welcoming warmth and saying goodbye to winter, but unfortunately winter wasn't ready to leave, because it was one nasty day. So...because it was terrible out and most of the festivities seemed to flop anyway, I guess I don't mind that we were too busy to celebrate.

3. Chinese Food. In Tirana. And it was good. Or maybe my expectations are low with such a decline in my Chinese take out consumption in the last year, but I loooooved it. I had chicken fried rice and a spring roll and I was in heaven. And the experience was complete with gold decorations and little Buddah statues and an extra slow and dramatic instrumental version of "My Heart Will Go On" playing as walked in! So so great.

4. One of the Teenagers at church said I look like Justin Beiber with my new haircut. Grrrreat. As soon as I got home I googled him and that's baloney. So annoyed by this that number four gets no photo.

5. A while ago I came across a deal of $5 for 100 contact cards from Moo.com. I had seen some of Moo's products before and knew the quality was great and I'd been planning on doing some printing soon for something for our prayer partners. Perfect. My cards arrived Friday at my parents' place and I love how they turned out. I took the photos in October while we were in Germany. German house numbers are the coolest. Excited to send them out to our partners after I get to the States in June.

6. So happy that our major lazy day with nothing scheduled is also my mom's "day off" and she keeps my nephew number two, Owen. We had some fantastic peek-a-boo action today. Isn't he the sweetest? :]
