Catching up...

Started to post a status update on facebook and couldn't even decide what to post, the weekend was so busy! Today was my home church's Homecoming celebration and I was the party planner...at least the program part. I came up with a new idea to keep everyone interested as we recalled our history. I made it into a trivia game, complete with fabulous prizes, and I think most people had a lot of fun with it. So success! And then we had a great time of sharing and some special music that really made me thankful for where I grew up. Yes, it was a good day. I may have gotten a little bent out of shape in planning, but nothing serious. I'm getting better at remembering that it usually turns out better than my plan, cause I'm really not the one in charge anyway. So, that was today.

Yesterday was an day full of people too! My little brother did a really good thing and organized a work day to help Mom and Dad on their new house. Many people came and a lot of dry-walling was finished! It was awesome! The day ended with a birthday party for my nephew, Judson. He really felt rotten at a couple different points, but he got to feeling better and the party was a hit. Can't believe he is two! Only once did it hit me that I won't get to be at a lot of his birthday parties through the years, so this one was pretty special.

Before the festivities began on Saturday, we traveled a bit. We had the time to go to Missouri and spend a couple days with Kenny's Grampa Hag and YaYa, so we took it! I loved getting to know them and Kenny really got to know them better. They are wonderful people and just plain fun to be around! Looking forward to a trip to see them again! While we were visiting, we took a pretty sweet trip into one of Missouri's caverns, amazing. If you're in the Springfield area, definitely go check out Fantastic Cavern!

We also got to have lunch with KMUSA's Director, Rob, who just happened to be passing through. It was altogether encouraging and it fueled passion for Albania. Can't wait to get to the city that will be our home, Korce!
This week we are traveling a lot. Indiana, Michigan and some Chicago-land. Lots to do before we leave tomorrow and relying heavily on my to-do list. Please pray for us as we connect with lots of friends and keep our eyes on the call.
