It's August?!
Unbelievable.
I'm so excited to say that my class finally ended and my summer started last week. I need this 3 or 4 week break. I'm filling it with books as much as I can...the books I want to read not some crazy poetry or short story or play that someone else says I have to. I'm taking 4 English classes next semester and I'm pretty positive I may never get to read what I want to ever again. Sad. But, I have to admit I'm excited too. There's so much to find in everything you read.
So...last week...camp. God was there in a massive way. (As if God isn't everywhere and can help being massive. ha.) I was crazy to think that it was something that we could do to make camp a success. 16 people were saved, and so many others decided to become Christians. Wow! There was nothing that we could do to plan that. All the first plans we laid out the first night for BKK 2006 fell through and I was measuring camp next to that. Crazy. God's plans are so much bigger than ours!! Last week was a week of people getting vulnerable. When people let down the walls that they've struggled so much to build the result is an encounter with God. I'm praying that the people who were at camp see the necessity of doing this daily and realize that they can live experiencing this massive God every day.
Hm. Feeling so full. Hoping that I'm overflowing. All over everybody.
I'm terribly excited about a lot right now. Seems like I'm running into adventures right and left. I like living life looking at it like that. The next big planned adventure is a weekend in Chicago! A best friend and I are heading up and doing as many Chicago things as we can...Lincoln Park Zoo, the lake, the Hancock Building, Navy Pier, the art museum, the food, ah....not even sure what all we'll find, but postitive it will be great. Sunday I'm going to church and out to lunch with a friend and his family. He's a good friend. I'm pretty excited, maybe in a bit of a nervous sort of way. That's girly. Anyway...can't wait. Chicago better get ready for me and Bridget. Here we come! (wow, I'm a nerd.)
I'm kind of in a posting mood so there will probably be more of these coming up. I just realized I love it so much to read what my friends are up to, just silly everyday adventures. Laura's daily posting is wonderful to read. Also, I saw Aunt Kathy recently and she let me know how much she really misses us here in IL posting often - a little guilt trip. So...more adventures with Heather coming soon. (!)
